Petty Officer 2nd Class Jerron Walker, a native of Tyler and a 2009 John Tyler High School graduate, was recently promoted to petty officer 2nd class while serving at Training Support Center (TSC) Hampton Roads.

Walker, a gas turbine systems technician (mechanical), is responsible for maintaining and repairing gas turbine engines used in U.S. Navy ships.

“My favorite part of serving at my command is interacting with the students fresh from boot camp and helping them transition to life in the Navy,” said Walker.
