Video game franchise Madden released its player ratings for quarterbacks on Monday for its 2021 version of the game.

It comes as no surprise that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a former standout athlete at Whitehouse High School, earned a 99 rating as the top-rated quarterback in the game.

Mahomes was issued a 97 rating for the release of Madden 20, which he was the cover athlete for.

For Madden 21, Mahomes is followed by Russell Wilson (97), Lamar Jackson (94), Drew Brees (93), Tom Brady (90), Aaron Rodgers (89), Matt Ryan (87), Deshaun Watson (86), Dak Prescott (84) and Carson Wentz (84).

Mahomes ranks second among quarterbacks in throw power with a 97 rating, just behind Josh Allen’s 99.

But when the official Twitter account for the game posted the top five in speed ratings for quarterbacks and Mahomes didn’t see his name, he responded, “What’s my speed looking like?”

The Madden account replied with Mahomes’ speed rating of 81.

Jackson — who graces the cover this year — has the highest speed rating among quarterbacks with a 96, followed by Kyler Murray (91) and Taysom Hill (90).

Last week, Mahomes signed a 10-year contract extension with the Chiefs that is the richest in the history of North American sports.
