This week is the last week of YesterLand Farm’s summer days event in Canton, an occasion that includes carnival rides, barbecue, homemade peach ice cream and more.
The summer days officially end on July 5, and the farm will host a special event on July 3 and 4 to celebrate Independence Day.

A limited number of tickets are available for the Independence Day celebration, as the facility will only be open at 25% capacity to ensure the safety of guest participants.
Kama Bozeman and her husband own YesterLand Farm, and Bozeman said she is excited for the holiday special.
“There will be a big ride present and light music and animal town, along with concessions. It’ll be a super fun event and we’re very excited about it,” Bozeman said. “For July 3 and 4 will be a limited ticket event, people have to purchase tickets online as we will be open at 25% capacity of what we normally do. We will spread everybody out for a professional firework show at 5:30.”
This is the first year the farm hosted a summer event, Bozeman said. They expanded the animal farm to facilitate proper social distancing in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’ve been wanting to do something cause we’ve never done a summer event before,” she said. “We spread out to socially distance, providing more wide-open space. We brought in peaches, homemade peach ice cream, vanilla ice cream, and homemade slushies made with peach or strawberries.”
There is barbecue available as well as concession areas with fresh lemonade, Bozeman said.
