Kona Ice to serve cool treats at city’s Summer Feeding Program

Kona Ice will be serving shaved ice at the sites for the Tyler Parks and Rec Summer Feeding Program. The shaved ice is free to the kids receiving lunches courtesy of J. Chad Parker.

A Kona Ice truck will be at Glass Recreation Center, 501 W. 32nd St., on Wednesday, and at Gassaway Park, 2601 Charlotte Drive, on Friday.

The Summer Feeding Program is a free program providing lunches to kids 18 years old and under through the East Texas Food Bank. The program will continue through Aug. 7. Lunch meals will be available from noon to 1 p.m.
