BULLARD — A graveside service for Margaret Ann Le Norman, 81, of Bullard, Texas will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Darryle Dunks officiating. The family plans a future memorial service in order to invite other family members and friends to celebrate her life and return to Jesus’ loving arms in Heaven. The final interment will be held at the Cathedral of the Pines Memorial Garden located in Tyler, Texas.
Mrs. Le Norman passed away in the early hours of Saturday, May 9, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on November 10, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas and adopted into a loving family by Wilmer Leon “Buck” Gregory and Florence Marie Carter Gregory. Margaret married Duane A. Le Norman, the love of her life, on August 30, 1957 and they were preparing to celebrate their sixty-third wedding anniversary this summer.
Margaret was a member of the Emerald Bay Community Church and Emerald Bay Club, Inc. both located in Bullard, Texas. She served on the Board and remained an avid volunteer and participant in the support of many charitable pursuits including the East Texas Food Bank until challenges presented by health concerns slowed her tireless efforts. She was always an avid baker and cook and always ran her kitchen with vigor and a quick smile and even was honored to be the subject of a Tyler Morning Telegraph story in April 2000 for her many sourdough baking recipes.
Margaret never met a stranger and was a friend and confidant to everyone she encountered. She frequently offered sage advice or simply placed her loving heart on full display for all to see.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Taylor Le Norman and Brittany Oliver. She is survived by her husband, Duane Le Norman; three children and their families: Merri and Stewart Oliver, David and Cory Le Norman, and James Le Norman. Margaret and Duane were and are very proud of their grandchildren: Jessica Hutchison, Brittany Oliver (deceased), Kelby Le Norman, Quincy Le Norman, Taylor Le Norman (deceased), Max Le Norman, Alex Le Norman, Azalea Le Norman, and Connor Bernard. Margaret and Duane also have two great-grandchildren: Kale and Braxton Hutchison.
Pallbearers will include family members David Le Norman, James Le Norman, Ken Le Norman, Stewart Oliver, Adam Hutchinson, and Max Le Norman. Family visitation will be held prior to the grave side service at Stewart Family Funeral Home, Tyler, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Emerald Bay Community Church, 160 LaSalle Road, Bullard, TX 75757.
