Mr. Sessions was called to his heavenly home on Friday, March 13, 2020, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. He married Vickie Potts on August 18, 1961. Sherrill and Vickie lived in Tyler until four years ago, relocating to Sherman, Texas, to be closer to family. Sherrill had a life-long passion for the outdoors, sharing his love of fishing and hunting with his grandsons. Sherrill and Vickie ultimately lived on Lake Tyler, where Sherrill enjoyed fishing daily until his declining health prevented him from doing so. He loved sharing his hobbies and humor with others. As Sherrill began needing a cane for balance when walking, he turned it into a woodworking craft of making walking sticks. He gave away many of the carved sticks to others who needed assistance with balance. He was a former Shriner with the Sharon Shrine Temple of Tyler. Sherrill was a business owner in Tyler for many years and remained self-employed until his retirement. He was a member of Glenwood Church of Christ, Tyler, Texas, for over 60 years.
