Arp is bringing back its Strawberry Festival, which was once a springtime tradition here. It will begin Friday with displays, vendors, food trucks and a car show followed at 6 p.m. with a street dance featuring Down Home Band. It continues Saturday with vendors and a Kids Space play area with bounce houses and games.
ETSO, singers present ‘The Creation’
The East Texas Symphony Orchestra under director of Richard Lee will conclude its season with “The Creation,” Haydn’s work for orchestra and choir inspired by God’s creation of Earth as told in the Bible and Milton’s “Paradise Lost.” ETSO will be joined by a mass community choir. The city of Tyler will hold free events 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday to mark the completion of the Tyler Botanic Garden in Tyler Rose Rose Garden.
