“We have this ‘no judgments’ philosophy, where anybody in any shape, any body type, and at any stage of journey in workout can come in,” said McColly.
Whether it’s running on a treadmill, lifting weights, kickboxing, or getting a massage or tan, Crunch Fitness has that option. The gym is open and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
“We have basically seven different gyms in one, so you’re going to come in and we have something for you,” said McColly.
During the event, fans of Young were lined up at the door, hoping for an autograph from the former NFL quarterback.
McColly said that Young is a partner with Crunch Fitness, and he comes to the markets where Crunch Fitness decides to set up shop. Young held private training sessions with 50 lucky winners chosen from social media right before the grand opening.
“He gets in, runs the workout with them, and then he does autographs, signatures, and meet-and-greet with the public.”

According to Crunch Fitness staff, the gym’s partnership with Young was a long time in the making, and happened through Young’s own desire to get involved in communities that were underserved.
“His goal really is just to meet these communities and to get connected. He does a lot of work with children, so he’s got a huge heart for kids that come in.”
Vince Young spoke with Tyler Morning Telegraph, and said that bringing fitness and health to East Texas was important to him.
“I want people to know I’m part of Crunch Fitness, I’m an ambassador for Crunch Fitness, and it’s very important to protect your health.”
Young said that he has enjoyed his time in the Tyler area, and named football legends Earl Campbell and Patrick Mahomes while talking about the city.
“We’re honored to be here, lot of legends come through here, and the people here are real nice. It’s my first time, and I’m having a good time.”
Crunch Fitness has projected 50 other locations that they intend to open over the next five years across the state. McColly said that the partnership with Vince Young gives Crunch Fitness the platform to bring awareness in the communities that are in need of health reform.
“We’re just ready to bring fitness and wellness to communities and just enrich lives of others through the power of well-being.”
