A big third quarter carried Rockwall-Heath to a 61-55 District 11-6A basketball win over the Tyler Lee Red Raiders on Friday, spoiling Senior Night at the REL Varsity Gymnasium.

Before the game seven Red Raider seniors were honored — Jamal Jones, Jaiden Pinson, Michael Berry, Josh Scott, Elliott Davison, Jordan Davault and Jeremiah Turner.

The Hawks (18-13, 7-4) used an 18-8 outburst in the third quarter to take a 44-39 lead after trailing 32-26 at halftime.

Teon Erwin led the Red Raiders (10-20, 0-11) with 14 points while Matt Wade added 12. Others scoring for Lee were Pinson (8), Jones (7), Will Mitchell (6), Davault (4) and Jaylon Spencer (4).

Kameron Pruitt led the Hawks with 20 points, followd by Skyler Stutts (17) and Chandler Dickinson (16). Hugh Moore added five points and Vaydin Maldonado hit for three points.

Lee plays at North Mesquite on Tuesday for the season finale, while Rockwall-Heath hosts Mesquite.
