Hundreds graduate from TJC, UT Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies

Graduation ceremonies were held Friday at Tyler Junior College and the University of Texas at Tyler.

TJC conferred more than 700 degrees to 650 candidates during the college’s fall commencement ceremony.

The two ceremonies marked the first graduation under the guidance of new Tyler Junior College President Dr. Juan Mejia.

UT Tyler celebrated the success of its students during fall commencement ceremonies.

The university was to award more than 1,300 degrees over the course of four ceremonies Friday and Saturday.



Degrees conferred by college included:

College of Arts and Sciences — 145

College of Education and Psychology — 222

College of Engineering — 45

College of Nursing and Health Sciences — 422

Fisch College of Pharmacy — 3

Soules College of Business — 474

Overall total — 1,311
