Joyce Christie Johnson

A graveside service for Joyce Christie Johnson, 87, of Tyler will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler with Dr. Don Walker officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Joyce passed away Nov. 16 in Tyler. She was born Aug. 27, 1932 in Henderson to R.T. and Mozelle Christie. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.D. “Bubba” Johnson and is survived by son, Danny Johnson of Tyler; daughter and son-in-law Christie and Duane Lebl of Memphis, TN.; grandsons Taylor and Chris Galvin of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law Roland and Shirley Christie of Henderson; three nieces and one nephew.

Joyce graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1949 and Tyler Commercial Business School in 1950. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.
