Smith County to consider contract with Kofile to preserve records

Smith County officials will consider whether to enter a contract with a Dallas-based firm related to data preservation.

The Smith County Commissioners Court is scheduled to take action on a contract for data preservation with the company, Kofile, at its regular meeting.

The company helps governments preserve their records and related technologies. The Commissioners Court heard a presentation from the company last week.

The Commissioners Court meets at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays in the Smith County Courthouse Annex, 200 E. Ferguson St., in downtown Tyler.
