Many East Texans capped off several days of Fourth of July events with Celebrate Freedom Sunday at Green Acres Baptist Church. 

The Tyler church presented the patriotic celebration at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in place of the church’s usual worship services.

The church’s combined choirs sang patriotic music, and Tim Lee, a Marine veteran who lost his legs while serving in South Vietnam, spoke.

The church also recognized veterans.
