2019 NFL: Cowboys open season with Giants

For the fifth time in the last seven years, the Dallas Cowboys will open their season at AT&T Stadium against the New York Giants.
That was one of the many highlights of the 2019 season, the NFL announced on Wednesday.

As usual, the Cowboys are the primetime and late afternoon stars.
Dallas will be on NBC’s Sunday Night game three times — Sept. 29 at New Orleans; Oct. 20 vs. Philadelphia and Nov. 10 vs. Minnesota. Those games have 7:20 p.m. (Central) scheduled starts.
The Cowboys’ Monday Night Game at the New York Giants on Nov. 4. Kickoff is 7:15 p.m.
The Cowboys’ traditional Thanksgiving Day game will have the Buffalo Bills visiting Arlington on Nov. 28. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. It is the Bills’ first Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas. Their last Turkey Day appearance was in 1994, a 35-21 setback to the Detroit Lions.
This will be the Cowboys’ 42nd straight year to host the November Classic and 52nd time in 54 years.
The Lions will meet Chicago in Detroit in the first game on Thanksgiving. Kickoff is 11:30 a.m. Atlanta will host New Orleans in the Thanksgiving Night game.

Dallas will also play at Chicago on a Thursday night on Dec. 5, the week after Thanksgiving.
The Cowboys’ late afternoon games (3:25 p.m. starts) include: Sept. 8 vs. NY Giants; Oct. 6 vs. Green Bay; Oct. 13 at New York Jets; Nov. 24 at New England; Dec. 15 vs. Los Angeles Rams and Dec. 22 at Philadelphia.
Dallas’ noon games are Sept. 15 at Washington, Sept. 22 vs. Miami, Nov. 17 at Detroit and Dec. 29 vs. Washington.
Dallas’ bye week is Oct. 27.
