A Tyler man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease has returned home after having been reported missing for about 12 hours.

The Tyler Police Department was trying to find Juan A. Ortiz, 53, after he walked away from his neighborhood.

Police said Ortiz was last seen walking northbound on South Baxter Avenue from East Travis Street about 7 p.m. Monday.

Ortiz returned home about 7 a.m. Tuesday.
