Former President George W. Bush

“Laura and I are deeply saddened that a good friend and a great Texan has died. Ralph Hall epitomized dignity, class, and patriotism. Like my father he was a Naval aviator in World War II who went on to serve in the United States House of Representatives. He faithfully represented Texans there for some 35 years. and our state and our country are better for it. Laura and I will miss Ralph and remember his example. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hampton, Brett, and Blakely.”

Gov. Greg Abbott

“Cecilia and I ask that all Texans join us in praying for the family of Ralph Hall as they mourn his passing. Congressman Hall heroically served his country in World War II and went on to a career in politics where he distinguished himself as a fiercely independent voice who put the needs of his constituents above all else. He represented the best of the Lone Star State and will be forever remembered as one of the finest Texans to ever serve our great nation.”

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick

“I am saddened to hear of the passing of former U.S. Congressman Ralph Hall. Jan and I are praying for the Hall family during their time of mourning, and we ask that you join us. As a veteran of World War II and a dedicated public servant, Congressman Hall represented the best of the Lone Star State for his entire life – abroad, in Austin and Washington, D.C. His lifetime of service to Texas and the United States will be remembered for generations to come.”

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn

“Ralph Hall was a legend in Congress and a true friend to many of us. A member of the Greatest Generation, he led by example, serving first his country in World War II and then Texans with his whole heart. Heaven is gaining one of the best, and Sandy and I send our condolences to the Hall family as we mourn this great loss.

U.S. Sen. Ted. Cruz

“Ralph Hall served his country long and well. A WWII vet, time and time again Ralph demonstrated that he was a man of courage with a dedication to public service and the people of Texas. Heidi and I send heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Ralph’s family and join them.”

U.S. Rep. Lance Gooden

“Ralph led a life of service to his country and was a true American hero. He was a friend and mentor, and Alexa and I are keeping the Hall family in our prayers. He will be dearly missed.”
