TJC sweeps Richland in doubleheader
DALLAS — The No. 2 Tyler Junior College baseball team played their first road games of the season on Wedneday, sweeping Richland College letting their bats take game one and their pitchings taking care of game two on the Thunderducks’ diamond.

In the first game, TJC rallied for a 7-6 win and in the second game three pitchers threw a no-hitter.
TJC (11-1) returns to play on Saturday, hosting Cedar Valley College at Mike Carter Field. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
The Thunderducks suffered their first losses of the season to fall to 7-2. Richland hosts North Arkansas in a doubleheader on Friday.
In the second game, Daylon Farmer (3 innings, 4 strikeouts), Christian Grigsby (1 1/3 innings, 2 strikeouts) and Michael Spinozzi (2 2/3 innings, 3 strikeouts) combined for the no-hitter.
In the first game, TJC rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh for the 7-6 win.
Seth Ballenger’s RBI-single tied the game and Cade Watson’s two-RBI single brought home the winning runs.
