2 Payne Springs women arrested on drug charges in Henderson County

Two women were taken into custody Wednesday by deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office after a search warrant was executed on a house in Payne Springs.

Catharine Bosworth Dean, 55, and Candice White, 53, were found to be in possession marijuana and what authorities believe to be methampetamine and the items commonly used in its sale and manufacture, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. 

The sheriff’s office said its narcotics investigators executed the warrant at a house in the 17000 block of Po Pines Road.

Dean was taken to the jail and charged with possession of marijuana and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 weighing at least 4 grams but less than 200 grams, according to jail records. 

White was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 weighing more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams, according to jail records. 



As of 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, jail records indicated bonds had not been set for Dean and White and they remained in jail.
