Both are standout right-handed pitchers.
Gearner is ranked 104th in Texas by Prep Baseball Report and 119th by Perfect Game scouting service. He did not get to pitch for his high school team last spring after having cubital tunnel surgery on his left arm, according to his mother, Kara Gearner.
She said Garrett will be back on the mound for Winnsboro this season.
Morris, also one of the top players in the state, had 99 strikeouts and a 0.61 ERA in 57 innings as a junior at Winnsboro. He was the district MVP.
They signed their letters in front of family, friends, coaches and classmates.
