He was also a proud “Papa Dale” to 7 beautiful great grandchildren; Jacob, Kaleb, Eli, Noah, Jaxson, Brady and Mercy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Joan Boothe, and his parents, Raymond and Pauline Boothe of Bullard, Texas, and two brothers, Phillip Boothe and Don Boothe, both from Bullard. Dale was born in Bullard, Texas on December 28, 1931 to Raymond and Pauline Boothe. He married Evelyn Spivey on February 19, 1954. Dale was a member at First Baptist Church in Bullard. He had a strong love for his family and enjoyed having everyone over for Holidays and Birthday parties. One of his greatest loves of all was hunting and fishing. He could hunt, fish or track anything God put to roam on this Earth and he taught his children to do the same. My mama (Pamela) is one of the few women I have ever met with such an ability and she often thanked him for teaching her to be such a “Tom boy” He LOVED the outdoors. It was where he felt most at home. Most of my fondest memories of Papa were of him being outside working, building, hunting or fixing something. He was an incredible guy. We would like to take this time to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of East Texas for the love and compassion that “Papa” and his family received while he was in their care. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, Texas 75701.
