Orgill has chosen Kilgore as the site for its distribution center expansion that is expected to add more than 80 jobs to the city’s employment roles.

City Manager Josh Selleck used the word “excited” several times Wednesday in response to the announcement.

“This is an indication of a number of things,” Selleck said. He cited the success of economic programs that the Kilgore Economic Development Corp. manages.

“We are excited about the expansion of a business like Orgill that has been such an incredible corporate citizen in Kilgore,” he said. “This is a good year for the expansion to be happening.”
