‘Singing in the Rain’ coming to close at Tyler Civic Theatre

This is the final weekend to see Tyler Civic Theatre’s production of “Singing in the Rain.”

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at 400 Rose Park Drive.

The story of silent-era movie stars having trouble making the transition to talkies features song-and-dance numbers and music from a band in the theater.

Theatre Longview is presenting “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Crossing United Methodist Church, 1001 Hawkins Parkway, Longview.

The musical brings the character of the Peanuts comic strip to life.

DOGWOOD JAMBOREE

The Dogwood Jamboree, a comedy and country music show, takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday in Palestine High School auditorium. Among those set to perform is Miss Texas Madison Fuller.
