George W Wofford

Funeral services for George Willis Wofford of Overton are scheduled for Saturday August 11, 2018, 1:00 PM at Spring Chapel CME Church with Rev. Byron Jackson, eulogist. Interment will be held in Asberry Cemetery, Overton under the direction of Brooks Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors.

Mr. Wofford was born to John D Wofford and Ollie B Dennis Wofford in Overton, Texas October 12, 1942. He attended Arp Industrial High School.

Mr. Wofford was married to L.V. Cary Wofford and they were blessed with five children. She preceded him in death as well as two children, four brothers and two sisters.

His legacy will live on through his son, John A. Wofford and daughters Willie Lois Hawkins and Tammie Wofford. He also leaves as survivors sisters Willie Retha Wofford and Mildred Coaty. Ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
