BRYAN — Southlake Carroll pitcher Nicco Cole, who helped the Dragons to a state baseball championship, was named the Player of the Year on the Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 6A all-state baseball team, the organization announced Saturday.

Cole was 13-0 with an 0.73 earned run average with 134 strikeouts in 105.1 innings.
