Local accounting firms Jerry Nelson & Associates PC and Gollob Morgan Peddy PC announced a merger Aug. 1. 

According to a news release, the entire staff of Jerry Nelson & Associates will be joining Gollob Morgan Peddy at 1001 ESE Loop 323 in Tyler and the Nelson office at Shelly Park Plaza is set to close Aug. 6. 

One of Nelson’s primary specialties is the construction industry, which will add to the already strong construction division at Gollob Morgan Peddy, according to the news release. 

“Jerry and his staff share the same core values of client service we practice here at Gollob Morgan Peddy,” Managing Partner Shane Rohrbach said. “We believe this merger will be a great fit for Jerry’s clients and his staff. We expect a seamless transition between our companies.” 

Both organizations are accounting and tax specialized firms, focusing on personal and corporate finance, according to their websites.
