*Liverpool ‘should not be in the Champions League final – the referee took it away from Roma’

Roma winger Cengiz Under believes Liverpool should not be in the Champions League final – and are only there because of poor officiating.

The Reds are aiming to win their sixth European Cup when they take on Real Madrid in Kiev on Saturday evening.

They beat Roma 7-6 on aggregate in a thrilling semi-final, having followed a 5-2 first-leg win with a 4-2 defeat in the return in Italy.

Roma owner James Pallotta was later charged by UEFA for comments criticising referee Damir Skomina and his officials for not giving penalties for a foul on Edin Dzeko and later a handball by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

And 20-year-old Turkey international winger Under, speaking on BeIN Sports Turkey on Tuesday night, believes that was the real difference between the teams.

“Liverpool started very well (in the in the first leg),” he said. “They were quickly up 2-0. They were relentless and kept scoring.

“After 5-0, everyone was worried on our side. But they got tired as the game went on. In the last 15 minutes, we were dominant and scored two goals.
