McCreery’s RBI single lifts All Saints to 3-2 win over Fort Worth Christian

All Saints won in dramatic walk-off fashion as Sully McCreery singled on an 0-2 count to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Trojans defeated Fort Worth Christian, 3-2, on Thursday in a TAPPS Division II baseball second-round playoff game at the Trojans’ diamond.

All Saints (20-6) advances to meet Midland Christian, a 6-5 winner over Austin St. Michael’s, in the quarterfinals. The Cardinals end their season at 18-12.

Tanner Towns led off the seventh with a walk and advanced to second after Levi McCasland earned a walk. After an out, Jayden Terres walked to load the bases.

Then McCreery hit his second single of the game, driving in Towns.



Raul Martinez threw a complete-game to earn the win on the mound. He allowed five hits and two earned runs while striking out eight. He did not walk a batter.

Martinez also had a double for the Trojans, while Jack Pogue had an RBI. Towns scored all three runs.
