East Texans fare well at 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

Several East Texans won medals and produced some impressive times and distances in the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on Thursday through Saturday.

JOHN TYLER
John Tyler was fifth in the 4×100 meter relay of Division II (large schools) with a time of 41.29 seconds. Katy Seven Lakes won the event at 40.88 with Corsicana placing eighth at 42.08.
Caleb Miller captured fifth in the 100-meter dash with a clocking of 10.55. Fort Worth Trimble Tech’s Kieshawn Everly won at 10.37. Corsicana’s Zantyler Foster-Hooks was third at 10.46.
Ke’Tavion Humber placed in both hurdles events. Humber was sixth in the 110-meter high hurdles at 14.29. Hutto’s De’vion Wilson won at 13.72.
In the 300-meter hurdles, Humber was eighth at 38.60. Tre’Bien Gilbert of Converse Judson won with a clocking of 36.87.

Robert E. Lee’s Branson Ellis vaulted 16 feet, 2 inches in the boys pole vault Section A. He placed fourth. Sondre Guttormsen, of Davis, California, won with a 17-11. Guttormsen, who has signed with UCLA, is ranked No. 9 in the world. He was born in Davis where his father was a professor but the family moved to Ski, Norway, when he was an infant. His family moved back to California before his junior year. Zachary Bradford of Bloomington, Illinois, and KC Lightfoot of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, tied for second at 17-2. They were followed by Ellis, who was the top Texan.
Ellis was followed by El Paso Coronado’s Grant Levesque and Richmond George Ranch’s Jacob Adair at 16-2.
Lee’s 4×400 relay placed seventh at 3 minutes and 23.53 seconds. DeSoto won at 3:13.92.
WHITEHOUSE
Whitehouse’s Theron Cobb won the silver in the high jump with a leap of 6-8. Caleb Kassen of Valley View was first at 6-8 as well.
Cameron Johnson tied for seventh in the Section B pole vault with a vault of 15-2. Warren Miller of Tolar won with a 16-2.
In the shot put, Darius Trimble was 17th in boys’ shot put at 51-2.5. Lake Travis’ Jared Tracy won at 63-2.25.
LadyCat Gabriana Dornak tied for 12th in the Section B pole vault at 10-10.
AREA ATHLETES
White Oak’s Kinsey Smith placed second in the Division I 100-hurdles with a clocking of 14.65. Lauren Lowe of Houston St. Agnes Academy was first at 14.24. Liberty-Eylau’s Ta’oni Reynolds placed sixth at 15.17.
In girls’ shot put, Tatum’s Jayla Hooper was 11th at 40-5. Parker Clay of Shiner St. Paul Catholic won at 46-5.
Gilmer placed sixth in the girls’ 4×200 relay (1:44.9) with Houston Kinkaid School winning at 1:39.44.
Dallas Carter won the girls 4×100 relay at 47.40. Liberty-Eylau was third (48.29) with Gilmer ninth (49.67).
In the girls’ 4×400, St. Agnes won with a time of 3:52.98, while Liberty-Eylau was runner-up at 3:59.50.
In the boys’ Division I 100-hurdles, Gilmer’s Parker Dodd was fifth at 14.66. Burnet’s Ian Carter won at 14.22.
