Two men accused of separate aggravated robberies in Tyler were among the group of people indicted in the March 1 session of the Smith County grand jury.

Tyler police officers arrested Skyler R. Driessen, 18, of Tyler shortly before Feb. 3 after he was accused of robbing someone at gunpoint at the Capital One Bank ATM at 4321 Copeland Road.

Driessen ran from the scene using the running trails of Rose Rudman Park.

Officers located and identified Driessen about 15 minutes later when he was sitting at a picnic table by the playground south of Shiloh Road.

Driessen was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. He was taken to the Smith County Jail where he is being held on a $50,000 bond.

In a separate case, a 22-year-old Tyler man was indicted on an aggravated robbery charge stemming from the Feb. 13 robbery of the Food Fast convenience store.

Police said Hunter Dean Milligan, of Tyler, entered the Food Fast convenience store at 805 W. Houston St. with a butcher knife and demanded money from the clerk.

Milligan took an undisclosed amount of money when the clerk opened the register.

Police said Milligan fled the store on foot. A warrant was issued for his arrest. He was located and arrested the same day.

Milligan was charged with aggravated robbery and taken to Smith County Jail where he was being held on a $200,000 bond for that charge.

Of the 55 felony charges included in the March 1 session of grand jury, 44 were true-billed, meaning the grand jury found sufficient evidence the defendant should be tried for the crime.

The charges in the March 1 set of indictments include 23 state-jail felonies, 15 third-degree felonies, 12 second-degree felonies and five first-degree felonies.
