Men’s conference at Community Christian Fellowship to begin Friday

Community Christian Fellowship, 15704 Texas Highway 110 North, Lindale, invites the men of community to the men’s conference, “Fight the Good Fight,” Friday through March 17. The conference will include four sessions led by speaker Dean Sherman, who has been teaching Christians worldwide for more than 50 years. It will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and end at 3 p.m. March 17. A sack lunch is included with registration. Cost is $45. Walk-ins must bring their own lunch. Register online at men.ccflindale.org or at the CCF Info Center. BLOOD DRIVE AT POLLARD UMC

CHURCH CELEBRATION

St. James Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its pastor, the Rev. Charles Dews, and first lady, Sister Linda Dews, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Ernest Dews, of New Hope Conglee Baptist Church in Troup, is the scheduled guest speaker. The public is invited to attend.



LECTURE SERIES

St. Francis Episcopal Church, 3232 Jan Ave. in Tyler, will continue its lecture series, “The Bible Through the Lens of…” on March 14 with the topic of history. MENTAL ILLNESS SUPPORT GROUP

A peer-led support group for people ages 18 and older dealing with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression or any type of schizophrenia meets on the first and third Fridays of each month at Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 New Copeland Road in Tyler. Only people dealing with one or more of these conditions should attend. During the group, sharing will be encouraged, but not required. All faiths are welcome. HOLLY BROOK BAPTIST ART GROUP

The Holly Art Group of Holly Brook Baptist Church, 3219 S. Farm-to-Market Road 2869 in Hawkins, will meet the third Wednesday each month to work on creative projects, including painting. FIVE-WEEK BIBLE STUDY

Community Christian Fellowship, 15704 Texas Highway 110 N., Lindale, will host a fiveweek study beginning Wednesday, March 21, at 9:30 a.m. on One Thousand Gifts Bible Study by Ann Voskamp. The series has an optional $8 workbook. Free child care is only provided if you sign up at Childcare.ccflindale.org by March 19. The purpose of this is to provide a safe teacher-to-child ratio, which creates a safe and fun environment.
