2 Tyler men indicted on capital murder charges related to 2017 shooting

Two men have been indicted on capital murder charges related to a November shooting at a Tyler apartment complex.

Christopher Benard Hardy, 23, and Seydadrian Montrez Brown, 26, both of Tyler, were indicted Feb. 22.

Hardy is charged with capital murder and Brown is charged with capital murder by terror threat/other felony, according to Smith County judicial records.

Darryl Dewayne Washington Jr. was killed and two others were injured in the Nov. 13 shooting at Chelsea Creek Apartments in Tyler.

Investigators determined the shooting was narcotics-related and the victims were shot with semiautomatic handguns.
