Texas High outscored Highland Park 21-6 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 75-54 victory on Monday in a Class 5A Region II girls basketball bi-district playoff at Wagstaff Gymnasium on the Tyler Junior College campus.
The Lady Tigers (26-5) advance to meet Frisco Liberty in an area playoff game later this week.
The Lady Scots end their season at 13-17.
Mia Wilson and Kerrighan Dunn led Texas High with 16 poitns apiece with Antonia Porter adding 16.
Mary Warriner Kemp paced HP with 19 points.

GREENVILLE — The No. 9 Canton Eaglettes used a balanced scoring attack and tough defense to down Paris North Lamar 37-19 on Monday in a Class 4A girls bi-district basketball playoff game at Greenville High School.
Canton (30-6) advances to the area round on Friday to play either Kilgore or Henderson.
The Lady Panthers end their season at 12-16.
Hannah Manry led the Eaglettes with 14 points with Mattie Tullos adding nine.
Summer Andrews led North Lamar with 10 points.

GREENVILLE — The Martin’s Mill Lady Mustangs showed why they are ranked No. 1 in Class 2A on Monday in a bi-district girls basketball playoff.
Taylor Sparks hit for 20 points to help power the Lady Mustangs (34-1) to an 87-21 victory over Merit Bland on Monday at Greenville High School.
Martin’s Mill broke out to a 34-6 first-quarter as the Lady Mustangs hit 3-pointer after 3-pointer.
Briley Moon added 17 for the Lady Mustangs with Hadley Perkins tossing in 16.
The Lady Mustangs hit 16 3-pointers.
Martin’s Mill advances to the area round to meet Clarksville.

UNION GROVE — The Hawkins Lady Hawks are bi-district champions.
Raeli Smith hit for 23 points to help power Hawkins to a 60-51 win over McLeod on Monday in a Class 2A Region II bi-district girls basketball playoff game at Union Grove High School.
Hawkins advances to meet Honey Grove in the area round later this week.
Smith had a double-double with 10 rebounds and scored nine of her points in the fourth quarter to help hold off the Lady Longhorns.
Jaycee Cheshire had a near double-double with nine points and 13 boards with two blocks. Others contributing for Hawkins included: Carolyn Searer (8 points, 3 rebounds), Emily Moore (7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, steal), Alyssa Eddington (6 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, steal), Christian Harris (5 points, 3 rebounds) and Harlie Conover (2 points, 2 rebounds, steal, assist).
Shelby Davis led the Lady Longhorns with 18 points, while Selena Moon added 13. Other scores for McLeod were: Jilian Ellis 7, Amanda Bertrand 5, Jillian Parker 4, Sibbie Comer 2 and Cary May 2.

CUSHING — Tenaha held Alto without a field goal in the first half and rolled to a 56-11 victory in Class 2A girls basketball bi-district action Monday night at Denny-Sides Coliseum.
Tenaha led 24-2 after the first quarter. Alto’s lone points came on free throws by Shatamrah Blakemore.
The Lady Tigers led 37-3 at halftime.
Alto’s first field goal came with 5:47 left in the third quarter by Blakemore, who made Alto’s only three field goals of the contest — all of which came in the third quarter.
Blakemore finished with eight points.
Alicia Roland led Tenaha with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Former John Tyler standout Destini Whitehead had 13 points and five steals in the win. Bianca Davison hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points, and Jaden Washington dished out eight assists.
Tenaha, ranked No. 8 in the state, will face either Broaddus or West Hardin in the area round.
