'Lazy giant' brothers, 'delightful Yere in fourth graid' and more

From Fidget Spinners to Barbie Dream Homes to real unicorns and everything in between — the presents children ask Santa Claus for are as unique and varied as they are.

Some kids get straight to business, while others take time to build rapport in their letter to Santa.

Many even lay out the case for why they should get their wish list and how good they have been.

From listening to parents to helping with laundry, there were many ways to make the nice list this year.

Some kids asked for presents for themselves, while many asked for presents for others. Some gestures were sweet, such as a tablet for their new baby brother, while others were downright hilarious — coffee for dad in the morning, because he gets cranky if he doesn’t have it.

One thing is clear, Santa Claus is going to have his work cut out for him this year.
