The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Bill McRae Ford partnered to raise $6,000 for educational needs during a recent test-drive event.
The event was part of Ford Motor Co.’s Drive 4 UR Community program.
This fall, Jacksonville area residents along with school district staff test drove a Ford vehicle at Bill McRae Ford. In return, Ford Motor Co. donated $20 per valid test driver to the Chamber’s Adopt-A-School Program & Education Division, according to a chamber news release.
The money will be given to the school district in December to provide for educational needs and scholarships for Jacksonville ISD graduating seniors, according to the news release.
