Bishop Gorman defeats Garrison on last-second touchdown pass

In Randy McFarlin’s coaching debut with Bishop Gorman, the Crusaders thrilled him with a touchdown pass as time expired for a 41-35 victory over Garrison on Friday night in the middle contest of the 12th Annual Azalea Orthopedics and Texas Spine & Joint Football Classic at McCallum Stadium.
Jake Smith found Isaiah Haggerty at the 2-yard line and he shook off a would be Garrison defender to score on a 20-yard touchdown and set off a Crusader celebration.

Smith passed for 381 yards and five touchdowns on 22 completions.
Haggerty was his favorite target with 10 catches for 294 yards and five receiving touchdowns.
Jakelen Tutt led Garrison in rushing with 20 carries for 107 yards and three TDs.
For the Gorman defense, Jeremiah and Isaiah Milton each had fumble recoveries and Emmanuel Milton and Haggerty each had an interception.
Bishop Gorman returns home next week hosting White Oak.
