Two Tyler clinics under the Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System will merge on Aug. 30.

The clinic at 3414 Golden Road will move to the Tyler VA Primary Care Clinic location at 7916 S. Broadway Ave.

The clinics are provided to serve the primary care and specialty care needs of Tyler area veterans.

Veterans from Smith, Henderson, Van Zandt, Rains and Wood counties receive VA care at Tyler VA clinics, saving a commute to the Dallas VA Medical Center. The Broadway clinic is expanding to accommodate Veterans who use Golden Road, and the same services and programs provided at both locations will continue, including: primary care, specialty care and consults, mental health, homeless, women’s care, optometry, diabetic counseling, telehealth, blood draw, social work and pharmacy consultations.

VA is planning a large 48,000-square-foot lease clinic in Tyler in 2020.
