East Texans yearning for breakfast in the afternoon now have another restaurant option.

The Honeybunz Café, 7484 S. Broadway Ave., has a variety of omelets, waffles, pancakes and other breakfast items – such as a Texas-shaped Belgian waffle – it serves from open to close.

“There’s only really (a few) other dine-in restaurants in Tyler that do breakfast,” Michelle Oliver, general manager of the café, said. “There is so much growth between the two malls that we decide this would be a good location for something like that.”

The café also serves lunch and has a wide range of salads, sandwiches, soups, hamburgers, pastries and, of course, honeybuns.

“We actually make our honey buns from scratch every day,” Oliver said. “It’s not your typical honey bun.”

The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, with lunch starting at 10 a.m.

“It’s a cute little quiet atmosphere with really good quality food and very friendly people,” Oliver said. “They can expect to leave very full and very happy.”
