Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizzeria has closed its doors, according to Kara Johnston, the general manager.

Gusano’s closed Wednesday evening.

The franchise opened in Tyler on May 18, 2015. It specialized in all types of pizza and was growing a fan base for its Chicago-style varieties.

Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizzeria also had sites in Arkansas and Missouri.

Its presence in Tyler was only the second Gusano’s restaurant in Texas. The first was located in Texarkana, records show.
