Concerts, Bible study among upcoming faith-based events

COLLEGE ENSEMBLE TO PERFORM
Impact, a contemporary praise and worship band from the University of Mobile, is bringing its 2017 Summer Tour to East Texas.
The band comprises a high energy, diverse group of auditioned musicians who take the current worship sounds to church stages nationwide, according to a news release.
The group’s scheduled East Texas concerts are: 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday at Grace Community Church’s UB Campus, 3001 University Blvd., Tyler; 6 p.m. Sunday at Flint Baptist Church, 11131 Farm-to-Market Road 2868 West, Flint; 6 p.m. Wednesday at Holly Brook Baptist Church, 3219 Farm-to-Market Road 2869, Hawkins; and 10 a.m. May 21 at Lane’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 8720 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler.
The group also will perform a concert for the residents of Breckenridge Village in Tyler and volunteer at the East Texas Food Bank.
Group member Joshua Walters is a 2015 Whitehouse High School graduate and a worship leadership major at the University of Mobile.
BIBLE STUDY
Community Christian Fellowship, 15704 Texas Highway 110 N in Lindale, invites all women to a six-session weekly DVD Bible study series called “When God’s Spirit Moves” by Jim Cymbala, at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays starting this Wednesday at the church. The optional participant’s guide costs $7 and will be available to purchase during the first session.
WARRIOR PEER GROUP
Lone Star – Warrior – Church, 604 W. Fourth St., in Tyler will have a Warrior Peer Group at 11 a.m. Thursdays. The group is designed for veterans and first responders who want a safe place to openly discuss the realities of what they have seen through their service. KID’S CRUSADE
Christ Community Church, 5625 N. Loop 256 in Palestine, will have a Kid’s Crusade for children ages 4 and up June 23-25. Youth and adults are welcome to attend. There is no registration fee, but an offering will be received in each service. Pastor Mike Muzzerall and team from Brother Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, are scheduled to speak. Service times include: 6:30 p.m. June 23; 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 24; and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 25.
