Christus Trinity Mother Frances Urology and Continence Center welcomes new provider

Christus Trinity Clinic Urology welcomed new provider Burkitt W. Jensen, M.D., to serve the patients of their growing community practice in March.

“We are excited to add Dr. Jensen to our already outstanding team here,” said Angela Anders, Clinic Manager at the Christus Trinity Mother Frances Urology and Continence Center. “He brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the clinic. He will be an invaluable asset to Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System and an important resource in offering the highest levels of care to our patients here.”

Jensen joins Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System after spending the last six years as a surgeon and clinician in practice across several hospital facilities in the Houston area, including Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, Kingwood Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital, of Kingwood, ICON Hospital, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, of Humble, and the Houston Northwest Medical Center.

Jensen received his undergraduate degree with honors from Texas Christian University before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completing his residency at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“I’m thrilled to be coming home to Tyler and joining Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System through the Christus Trinity Mother Frances Urology and Continence Center,” Jensen said. “The physicians, nurses, APPs and staff are top-notch, and I am very excited to be back home, serving the patients of Northeast Texas.”
