Smith Dental Care hosted its 13th Annual Dentistry from the Heart event Saturday, providing free fillings, cleanings and extractions to people in need.

After sign-ups Friday at Central Baptist Church in Tyler, patients were seen on Saturday by the staff at Smith Dental Care.

Approximately 250 people were expected to be served through the public service event.
