Tyler Police Department seeks three suspects in connection to taxi robbery

The Tyler Police Department is searching for three suspects they say robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint Sunday morning.
At 4:17 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the intersection of East Front Street and South Beckham Avenue to investigate an aggravated robbery.

The driver, who is employed by Tyler Cab, told police he was robbed at gunpoint by three men. According to a Tyler Police Department news release, one suspect got into the cab to give the other two suspects a chance to approach the driver and ordered him out of the vehicle at gunpoint.
The suspects stole the driver’s wallet and cash before running from the scene. A photo was obtained of one of the suspects.
Anyone with information about the crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-2833. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
