Parents of returning or new students who plan to send their children to Tyler ISD when school starts Aug. 24 need to go online to register their student(s), according to the district’s web site.

Online registration is now available for the 2016-17 school year and will replace paper registration packets sent home the first day of school in previous years.

Parents of returning or new students may register by going to www.tylerisd.org. The process can be completed on a personal computer, tablet or smartphone browser, according to the Tyler ISD web site.

“If you are a current family in Tyler ISD, please make sure you have signed up for a Parent Self Serve account. This account is required for 2016-17 online registration and to view your student’s attendance and grades,” the Tyler ISD web site stated. “If you are a new family in Tyler ISD, please proceed to the online registration website to create an account to register your student.”

Once new families have completed the online enrollment process, they are advised to bring the following information to the campus where their student will attend: student’s birth certificate, Social Security card, current immunization records, proof of residency (water bill, electric bill in the parent/guardian’s name), withdrawal form from previous school (if moving from another district) and the driver’s license or photo ID of the parent/guardian.

New students may also register from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Career & Technology Center, 3013 Earl Campbell Parkway. They must bring the required documents.

Parents/guardians who have questions regarding the process are advised to contact the campus where their student will attend in the fall.
