Tyler ISD names principals for Ramey, Bonner and Austin elementary schools

Tyler ISD trustees unanimously appointed new principals Monday for Ramey, Bonner and Austin elementary schools, effective for the upcoming school year.
The school board named Tremayna Thomas principal of Ramey Elementary, Brandy Holland principal of Austin Elementary and Zach Cazares, principal of Bonner Elementary.
Cazares will come to Tyler ISD from the Dallas area, where he was assistant principal at the Ross Campus of the Texans Can Academies. He also has served in Dallas ISD as principal of Lenore Kirk Hall Elementary School and as assistant principal of W.H. Adamson High School.
Cazares served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1984-1993.
Cazares has a bachelor of arts degree in kinesiology from The University of Texas at Arlington and a master of education degree in education administration from Texas A&M University at Commerce.
Ms. Thomas, an alumna of Ramey Elementary, will return to Tyler after serving in Dallas ISD as principal of Pleasant Grove Elementary and also as assistant principal and business education teacher at Thomas J. Rusk Middle School.
Prior to her career in education, Ms. Thomas held managerial positions at Washington Mutual Bank and Bank of America in Dallas.
Ms. Thomas has a bachelor of arts degree in business management, a master of arts degree in organizational management and a master of education in educational leadership, all from The University of Texas at Austin.
Ms. Holland will join Tyler ISD after serving in the Pine Tree ISD as principal and earlier as assistant principal of Pine Tree Primary School. She also taught eight years in Hawkins ISD.
Ms. Holland has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Dillard University in New Orleans and a master of educational administration from Texas A&M University at Commerce.
