The University of Texas Health Northeast will host a traumatic brain injury summit in the Ornelas Academic Amphitheater from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Office of Acquired Brain Injury has partnered with the Piney Woods Regional Advisory Council, UTHCT and other northeast Texas organizations to form the Northeast Texas Brain Injury Coalition.

Participants will learn about many facets of brain injury and participate in the development of action plans for the prevention of brain injury, intervention and identification efforts and more.

Doctors, nurses and EMS professionals can obtain continuing education hours for participating in the symposium.
