GARLAND – Robert E. Lee broke out offensively and left Garland in its wake as the Lady Raiders won 9-0 on Tuesday to remain in fourth place in the District 11-6A standings.

It was a season-best in goals for Lee, which received a hat trick from senior Alex Bice and a brace from freshman Carly Wyatt while Kourtney Hitchcock, Priscilla Rincon, Jazmine Navarro and Marlen Esparza all found the back of the net.

Assists were from Wyatt, Adai Urieta, Navarro (2), Bice (2), Kaileigh Minehart and Rincon.

“We are capable of doing that when we’re on,” Lee coach Chris Woodard said. “Our runs and our timing are starting to come together a little more and that is going to result in more goals.

“It has also been a while since we had a shutout. That is the direction we need to be going.”
