Second person dies from Wednesday wreck

UPDATE: Name has been released of second deceased from Wednesday wreck in Flint. According to Texas Department of Public Saftey Trooper Jean Dark, 5-year-old Camdyn Randle has died from his injuries. Camdyn’s mother, 30-year-old Candace Randle was pronounced dead at the scene. 

(KYTX) – Authorities confirm a second person has died in the fatal accident involving four vehicles Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened in the 15000 block of FM 2493 around 2:00 p.m.

According to the preliminary crash investigation, a tan Lexus was in the northbound center turn lane on Old Jacksonville Highway attempting to turn into a business. A Pontiac Vibe, headed southbound, entered the same center turn lane, saw the Lexus, and attempted to exit out of the center turn lane.

The Vibe was rear-ended by a Dodge Durango, also headed southbound. This sent the Vibe into the northbound traffic on Old Jacksonville Hwy, where it was struck on its passenger side by a Ford Taurus headed northbound.



Candace Randle, 30, of Tyler, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second person in Randle’s car was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, but later died.

Authorities have not released the identity of the second person.
