Gonzales leads UT Tyler to win

Anthony Gonzales scored 28 points to lead UT Tyler to a 99-85 win over Rust College on Tuesday in a non-conference basketball game at the Herrington Patriot Center.
UT Tyler improves to 2-1, while the Bearcats fall to 0-1.
Gonzales was 9 of 10 from the free throw line, while also grabbing four steals.
Other top scorers for the Patriots were Ja’Carre Crockett (17), Deon Rodgers (13) and Melvin Anthony (11).
Anthony led the Patriots with eight boards, while Rodgers added six.
Allen Potts paced the Bearcats with 24 points, while LaDarius Watts added 17. Jonathan Bowens added 10.
Potts led his team with eight rebounds.
Rust College stays in the Rose City to play Texas College at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
