The charter for the University of Texas at Tyler Kappa Sigma Fraternity has been withdrawn, according to fraternity officials.

Executive Director of Kappa Sigma Mitch Wilson said the withdrawal was due to violation of Kappa Sigma’s code of conduct.

UT Tyler Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Howard Patterson released the following statement.

“We support the Kappa Sigma national office in its decision to address the chapter based on its standards. UT Tyler concluded its investigation last spring and assigned appropriate sanctions.”

In March, Kappa Sigma was suspended for one year after an investigation uncovered alleged wrongdoing.

The several hundred pages of documents related to the investigation and released to CBS19 as part of a request under the Public Information Act indicate the investigation started with a single complaint in which an unidentified person told police there was a chance Kappa Sigma was involved in hazing, drug sales, and taking nude pictures of women–possibly without their consent.

The University has not released the details of the investigation.
