Cake artists from three Tyler bakeries – SmallCakes, Luscious Crumb and Kool Kakes by Dylan – were invited to submit three samples each of their finest confection. The judges selected one to produce a birthday cake for actor Kirk Cameron, who is scheduled to be guest speaker for the school’s annual Founder’s Day celebration, set for Oct. 12.
Founder’s Day recognizes the individuals who established Brook Hill School in 1997 and honors ongoing donors for their support and contributions to the school, staff member Jacki Travis said. Tickets for the event are available at brookhill.org.
